Title I of the Every Student Succeeds Act

Since 1965 the federal government has provided financial support specifically designated for schools to provide assistance to at-risk students. This source of financial assistance is commonly known as Title I funding, and it is currently allocated in accordance with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) which was signed into law by President Obama on December 10, 2015.

High Point receives federal funding through the ESSA which it utilizes to provide a host of academic support and enhancements to its curriculum. As such, we are required to host an informative meeting to provide the public with information regarding the use of this funding.
